Week 38

Dear Grant,
You are now 39 weeks and 1 day.  Grandma Lizzie and Aunt Abby got here on Tuesday and are anxiously waiting with Mommy and Daddy for your arrival into the world.  We are so excited to meet you and your cute chubby cheeks.
Our neighbour Nicole took pictures of  Mommy's very pregnant belly and Daddy last week so they can show you when you are older what Mommy looked like with you in her.
You've been kicking around more the past couple of days and have started kicking and wiggling a little stronger than before.
We had a doctor appointment last week and Mommy was dialated to 1.5, which is normal for how old you are.
We also had another ultrasound, where we got to see you again.  You smiled every time Mommy would laugh.
You seem to be pretty happy in your little cacoon.
The ultrasound technician said you weigh about 7 lbs 10 oz.  Mommy was 8 lbs 13 oz. 21 inches when she was born and Daddy was 9 lbs 3 oz. 23 inches when he was born.  We wonder how big you will be.
Your Great Grandpa Glen passed away this week.  Mommy loved her Grandpa very much.  He used to call her his partner girl.  Mommy is excited to tell you stories about your Great Grandpa Glen when you are older.  He was an amazing man.  Mommy likes to think that you are hanging out with her Grandpa right now and hearing stories from him.
Mommy and Daddy love you.
Love,
Mommy

Tiffany

My friend Tiffany is pretty AWESOME.   I met her in grade seven and have been best friends with her along with Jill and Janae ever since.
The summer after graduation, Tiffany got baptized.
Now, 3 years later, she's going on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints to London England!
For a baptism gift, Jill, Janae and I bought her a set of scriptures and for a mission gift I made her this cover for her scriptures.  I will miss Tiffany so much for the year and a half that she is gone, but I know Tiffany is going to be the best sister missionary the church has ever had.
I love you Tiff!

Week 37

Dear Grant,
You are 38 weeks today.  This past week Mommy and Daddy went to see Doctor Nugyun to start our weekly check ups.  Mommy had a contraction, but lucky for her she can't feel them yet.  Other than that, no signs that you're ready to come soon. Please feel free to "drop" anytime; Mommy wants to be able to breathe again.
Mommy is very excited for next week. Not only will you be 39 weeks old, but Grandma Lizzie and Aunt Abby are coming to visit us.  You will love them; they're pretty fabulous and they already love you.
Keep growing baby boy and start thinking about coming out ok?
Love,
Mommy

Week 36

Dear Grant,
Today you are 37 weeks old! You have grown alot; the proof is in the stripes on mommy's belly and the amount of times she has to go pee at night. Mommy can't believe that in as little as three weeks she could have her sweet little baby boy in her arms. Mommy and Daddy are so excited to meet you and have you be apart of our family.  We love you and Mommy thinks you are the cutest baby she's ever seen because you are.
Love,
Mommy

letter from Max to Baby: how to be a MacGregor

Okay kid, listen up. I'm about to offer you some valuable advice here only because Mom promised me a belly rub.
Here's what you need to know to be a MacGregor because that's what you'll be when you finally decide to get here.
First things first:  you need to know about Mom and Dad.  Dad is a total pushover.  When Mom is gone Dad lets me sleep in their room and once he even let me sleep on the bed with him.  Then when Mom came home and found my hair all over her side of the bed she kind of flipped out.  Lucky for me Dad got the heat.  So basically if you want to get away with anything don't go to Mom.
Oh Mom will probably talk about sending you back to the place you came from if you poop or pee inside unless its on the pile of Dad's clothes he's left on the floor for a week. In that case she just laughs and tells Dad he should have picked them up.  She might even rub your tummy and say good boy.

I'll be in charge of chasing off the birds.  I think i'll let you be in charge of  lizard patrol, which brings up my next item on the agenda.  The old lady's cats like to come into my backyard and chase my lizards. Your job is to make sure I know so I can chase them back to their maker.
You'll probably get to sleep in Mom and Dad's room while you're little and helpless and cute but don't count on that lasting.  They'll kick you out as soon as they notice you snoring or licking your butt.  I'll save a warm place for you in my crate.
Oh, Aunt Lorie's toes are mine and I'm Dad's favorite. You can have Mom but Dad is mine; back off.
It's a pretty good life, just remember who's top dog and we'll get along fine.

Max

Week 35

 Dear Grant,
You now weigh about 5.5 pounds and are 36 weeks old tomorrow.  You are right on schedule to be born August 3rd.

You like to smile and pout your little lips. Mommy loves your cute chubby cheeks; you got those from her.
Mommy's waist is now exactly 40 inches.
Her mood varies; I think Daddy has just stopped trying to understand why Mommy can change moods so quickly, which is good because she doesn't even get it.

Daddy is good to Mommy. He rubs her feet and tells her she's beautiful even on days when she hasn't washed her face, brushed her hair or gotten dressed.

Mommy loves Daddy.  He's a good sport.

Mommy loves you too.
Love,
Mommy
