Utah- part 1

We took off to Utah for a two week adventure.  The first we were were there we stayed with Grandma Jeanne at her house in Kaysville.  I love staying with Grandma; she is just so fun and she spoils us rotten, especially Grant.
We then made our way up to Park City to stay with Terri and Mathea at their gorgeous house.  I made dinner for them and we also had John and Debbie and Carson and Steve over for dinner too.  It was so great to see them.  I was also able to meet up with Grandma Della, Tammy and her sisters in Heber for a couple of hours.
The next day we drove down to Provo.  We stayed with Gavin's friend Council Bluffs (aka Kasey) and his wife Emily and their son Jimmer.  They were so nice and sweet to have us stay with them for a few days and we had fun visiting them.  Of course we had to take a stroll down memory lane and visit BYU campus, including the Marriott Center where Gavin played for BYU.  We had fun taking pictures of Grant with the basketball and the perfect backdrops.
Our first week in Utah was great.  Stay tuned for Part 2.

San Diego Zoo

The weekend after the 4th, we went to San Diego to visit some of our best friends in the whole world, Chris and Nicole Duran. They are so great and let us stay with them and took us to the San Diego Zoo.  It was so fun to be there with them and to see all the animals.  Grant still a little too small to be interested in the animals but he loved being carted around and being outside.  The zoo is so big with so big that we didn't get around to all the sights, but we did find a zebra called "Grant's Zebra".  Pretty cool eh?
By the end of the day we were all wiped out but we had so much fun.  Thanks Durans!

4th of July

The Fourth of July this year was great.  Every year the Ridgecrest Stake puts on a Fourth of July program and Flag Raising Ceremony, with a band that Gavin played in.  Keeping with MacGregor tradition, we got donuts after and the rest of the day we played games and took it easy.  Grant absolutely LOVES basketballs;  it's kind of crazy how much he likes them.  Before dinner he played basketball with Gavin on the court at Grandma and Grandpas and learned how to dribble too.  His dad is a pretty awesome teacher. We ended the day with a BBQ, ice cream sundaes and of course, fire works.  Grant was hypnotized by them.  We had a pretty spectacular day.
